Sugar peas, Television monitor
Commencement Art Gallery
Tacoma, WA 1998
Watered peas grow without soil. They consume only the matter inside themselves. They lean toward the energy of the only light source, primetime programming playing on a television suspended above them. Primetime is like meal time. Some internal signal tells us to sit down and take it in. Why do we return night after night to the TV trough?
